The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressed his deep admiration and gratitude to the Chefs of the Homeland, for being a movement that guarantees the nutrition of millions of boys, girls and young people, in schools and high schools in the country.

“What we have to say to you, today, World Food Day, is “thank you all, thank you for so much daily passion”. It's one of the most beautiful movements in the immense, colorful and diverse Venezuelan popular movement,” he said.

Accompanied by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, the Minister of Popular Power for Food, M/G Carlos Leal Tellería, and the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, the National President described the work of these culinary teachers as “one of the most beautiful and diverse movements in the national territory”.

He highlighted the transcendence of the work of this sector, pointing out that they are the “spiritual column of Venezuelan Popular Power, because they bring their love to action and turn their love into deeds, not promises. They are actions, not words, it is love in action, converted into nourishment”.
