Head of State delivers José Gregorio Hernández hospital in Monagas: We continue to do a lot with little

The inhabitants of the Aguasay, Santa Bárbara, Zamora and Cedeño municipalities in the state of Monagas will benefit from the type I hospital, José Gregorio Hernández, which has more than 3,700 square meters to treat patients in these localities.

The inauguration of this health center was led by the governor of Monagas, Ernesto Luna, who during a television contact with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, explained that this health center will benefit more than 180,000 inhabitants of the mentioned municipalities.

“This hospital has 10 services and more than 12 medical specialties. It also has more than 1,085 state-of-the-art, high-end medical equipment, purchased after a large investment made by the national government,” said Luna.

In the same way, he indicated that this assistance center generates 300 direct jobs and more than a thousand indirect jobs.

For her part, the single health authority of Monagas, Erika Alzolay, explained that this hospital is completely new and equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment to ensure accurate diagnoses.

“We have two operating rooms equipped to perform low, medium and high complexity surgeries,” he said.
