Head of State details development of natural organic seeds in the country

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that a successful strategy has been developed in the country for natural, indigenous organic seeds, we are protecting them and using production techniques.

He explained that these seeds are free of all chemicals, they produce “today, on land, more than all transgenic seeds with the objective of minimizing chemicals in the diet and the need to adopt healthier agricultural practices.

He explained that the earth is prepared with chemicals, they throw in so-called fertilizers (pure chemical), they throw in so-called pesticides (pure chemicals) so we end up eating contaminated food, “it's like having breakfast with an arsenic tablet, and at lunch with a cyanide tablet”.

President Maduro instructed the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez; the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia; the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez; and the Minister of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, to make efforts to make the Nation a world power in food production.
