Head of State: “I accept this destiny before the People, to go to great transformations together”

“I accept this destiny before the People, to go to great transformations together, to give birth together to the same society,” said President Nicolás Maduro, from the National Electoral Council (CNE).

During the registration of his candidacy with the CNE for the presidential elections, Maduro maintained that he never hesitated, he never asked the reasons why “Commander Chávez delegated such responsibility to me, I obeyed then and I obey now, that it is Chávez made a people who told me go ahead Nicolás, that the time of great transformations”.

“Since Chávez entrusted me with the destiny of the Homeland, there is only room in my mind for one idea, to fulfill the mission, to be loyal, to protect the people,” he said.

He also argued that for revolutionaries the future depends on our own effort, on our mind, on our hands, on ourselves, on the will and persistence that we have, “that is why I accepted to be the candidate of the largest and most diverse historical, Bolivarian, Chavista and revolutionary block that has ever been formed here in Venezuela.”
