Head of State: I'm taking to the streets on October 12 in resistance and indigenous struggle

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that next Sunday, October 12, Venezuela will accompany the mobilizations that will take place throughout America for the Day of Indigenous Resistance.

“We accompany all of our America from Venezuela in the great mobilizations, because October 12 in America is the Day of Indigenous Resistance, the day of our original peoples,” said the Head of State.

During the installation of the World Congress of Mother Earth, in Caracas, the President stressed that the streets of America will overflow to “celebrate 500 years of indigenous resistance struggle.”

“I am going to the streets on October 12 in resistance and in indigenous struggle. There are those who want to celebrate colonialism and genocide. We celebrate the struggle, resistance, hope and beauty of the original peoples of our America,” he emphasized.
