Head of State leads launch of the Great Mission Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, activated the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Homeland; with the objective of providing comprehensive care to older adults in Venezuela.

From the Concha Acústica 27 de Febrero, located in Simon Bolivar Park, in Caracas, the Head of State activates this social program that will be incorporated into the new generation of Great Missions system and will benefit the country's forerunner and founding generation.

“Our grandmothers and grandparents deserve the protection and social stability we have fought for; to you we owe our lives, our learning and the impetus to defend what belongs to us. This new generation will guarantee that hope and dreams materialize,” said the President.

He reiterated that in its intention to advance a transformative agenda that consolidates the construction of high-impact strategies for the social welfare of the Venezuelan people, the Bolivarian Government has created the new generation of Great Missions together with a strengthened system of comprehensive social protection.
