The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised Bolivarian Military Aviation (AMB) this Thursday and highlighted the rebirth of this component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANMB) during the Civic-Military Rebellion of November 27, 1992.

“Days like today should lift our spirits to make us feel the living force of history always throbbing among us. Military Aviation celebrates 105 years today and with it we celebrate the courage, discipline and historic strength of those who care for the blue sky of this country for a little more than a century,” said the head of state in his message to the protectors of the Venezuelan skies at the time.

He stressed that the 20th century, which saw the birth of Military Aviation, “was one of the most violent and convulsive known to mankind. Times marked by the so-called world wars, by the rise of fascism and Nazism. And for the birth in world hegemony of a true immoral empire”.

In this regard, the Dignitary noted that during that time “Venezuela saw a difficult, dark, complex history of resistance going on. However, today we have to bring a vital date in the calendar of the awakening of our homeland: The glorious 27 of November 1992, which marked the moral rebirth of Venezuelan Military Aviation and which forever and forever declared the Bolivarian character of our Military Aviation.”
