The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed this Wednesday that while the extreme opposition right promotes attacks against the country's economy, the revolutionary process is moving forward to guarantee the well-being of the people in all areas.
From Barcelona, in the state of Anzoátegui, where he handed over the rehabilitation of the “Jesús Fária” PDVSA-Oriente Industrial Hospital, the Head of State criticized that “the battered, anti-homeland right wing asks and demands sanctions every few minutes”, so he recalled that May 21 marks a new anniversary of the theft of CITGO, a subsidiary of Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in the United States (USA).
“There's CITGO, it's ours, we'll never give up on it. And just as CITGO was stolen from us, there we accumulated billions of dollars that belong to all Venezuelans. They ask for sanctions, blockade and we specialize in defeating them and in overcoming the blockade and in bringing what is best for the people of Venezuela today, tomorrow and always. So that it burns for the imperialists,” he said.
