Head of State on the so-called “Bolivar law”: we are prepared to counter and defeat it

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated on Monday that the State is prepared to defeat Law HR 825, the so-called Bolivar law, promoted by the House of Representatives of the United States (USA), to intensify criminal sanctions against the country.
During the 68th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, the Head of State that it is “a law that is a law of war against all of Venezuela”, promoted by the Venezuelan extreme right for more than a year.
“It's an infamous law, I have called it the 'junk law' and we are prepared to face that law, counter it and defeat it in all its aspects,” emphasized the Dignitary.
In this regard, he stressed that Venezuelan legislators “have taken a very good initiative to create a law from Venezuela, from the cradle of Bolivar, a liberating law, a law of justice that has been given the name of the Simon Bolivar Liberator Law.”
He explained that this legal instrument, which will be approved in the National Assembly, “establishes heavy penalties for all Venezuelan people, born here or with Venezuelan citizenship, who ask for, promote or support calls for criminal sanctions, a blockade of the country, military invasions or any foreign imperialist harm that they want to do to Venezuela.”
The President indicated that the Simon Bolivar Liberation Law “has overwhelming support from the Venezuelan population and is a law that comes here to balance things perfectly (...) and will provide Venezuelan institutions and democracy with a constitutional legal weapon to defend the right to peace, tranquility, life and development in Venezuela, I think it is inescapable of approving such a law,” he said.
