Head of State: Our battle is for humanity, it's the battle for dignity

During episode #13 of the Maduro Podcast, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the battle that Venezuela is facing against fascism that seeks to take power by force.

“Venezuela is the jewel in the crown, just as Spain was before the Second World War,” he said, drawing a historical parallel between what happened in the 1930s, when the Spanish Republic fell to the fascism represented by Francisco Franco.

“As I say to our people; the battle we are fighting is not just for us, our battle is for humanity, it is the battle of dignity and just like in Spain, 90 years ago the future of humanity was defined for that hard period of fascism and Nazism, unfortunately it was decided against the Spanish people, in Venezuela the future of true democracy and of the alternative to wild capitalism is being defined, but this time it will be in favor of humanity,” he said.
