Head of State receives the Foreign Minister of Mali at the Miraflores Palace

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held a working meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Mali, Abdoulaye Diop, with the objective of continuing to strengthen ties of strategic cooperation and friendship.

This meeting reaffirms more than 40 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations, which have been governed by a historic commitment to promote peace and security, shared visions towards the same destiny, particularly the fight against imperialism, territorial defense, the development and well-being of peoples.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Mali, Abdoulaye Diop, will hold a series of meetings during the week with the Minister of People's Power for Agriculture; the Minister of Popular Power for University Education; the Executive Secretariat of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America — Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALB-TCP).

He will also participate in an exchange of experiences with the Latin American Union System and the Confederation System of the Alliance of States, with the firm intention of exploring new ways of participation to strengthen solidarity and forge strategic alliances.
