The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured, during a press conference with international media, that the right wing forgets that the Bolivarian Revolution has roots and people.

From the Miraflores Palace, the Head of State specified that the project devised by Commander Hugo Chávez is “peaceful and electoral, but not unarmed, he is armed with people, he has strength”.

In this regard, he recalled that 22 years and 111 days ago the right wing orchestrated a coup against Commander Chávez, in which they ended the Constitution and the public authorities by decree; that he was also supported by the media and “they never asked for forgiveness, they wanted to start a civil war and then to set up a dictatorship (...) not even the king of Spain when the king in these lands”.

He specified that the Bolivarian Revolution is “here because we defend a cause, we have a flag, because we love the country and Venezuela is not going to fall into the hands of fascism or criminals or imperialism or anyone else, we want everything to remain constitutional and in peace.”

He reiterated his intention to continue in Revolution “on the path of the Constitution, but if imperialism forces us, my pulse will not shake to call the People to a new revolution.”
