Head of State: The Constitution must be the basis for the construction of the new society

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed this Tuesday that the family and Popular Power are the central nucleus of the popular constituent process “that assumes the 2025 reform”.

“It has to be the family and the territorialized grassroots Popular Power, the power of ordinary men and women. That is one of the vital elements. The Constitution must be the basis for the construction of the new society,” said the Head of State from the Miraflores Palace, in a meeting with the National Commission for Constitutional Reform.

He reiterated that the country is moving towards a process of modernization, “of our Constitution, of our economy, of our society as a whole, and that can only be done with the participation of all. To sow values, to be inspired by the values of those who founded this Homeland and those who made it great.”
