Head of State: The Grandparents of the Fatherland Mission will be reinforced to strengthen the welfare of older adults

This Monday, October 6, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged all governors, governors, mayors and mayors to increase their contribution to the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland, in order to strengthen the well-being of all older adults in Venezuela.
“We have decided to reinforce the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland. It has to pick up a faster pace, of expansion and cover the entire territory,” he highlighted in the Gran Misión Abuelos y Abuelas de la Patria segment, during the program Con Maduro+, in broadcast number 93.
In this regard, instructions were issued to increase the quality and level of medicines, supplements and food, through the strengthening of the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) grandparents 4S (health and healthy diet).
During the day, the head of state appointed the Rector of the University of Health Sciences Hugo Chávez Frías, Dr. Geovanni Peña, as Head of Vertex No. 1: Health and Nutrition of this Great Mission.
Another appointment was the appointment of Junior Pérez as Head of Vertex No. 2: Social Protection of the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland.
He also appointed Diógenes Linares as Head of Vertex No. 3: Organization of the Movement of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland.
She also appointed Yoleidy Carolina García as Head of Vertex No. 4 of the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland: House of Grandparents and Grandmothers, which must be active in all municipalities of the country for the enjoyment and recreation of older adults.
On the other hand, he specified that these four vertices are aimed at deepening the comprehensive care of our older adults: health and nutrition, comprehensive social protection, the Movement of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland and the Houses of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland, to provide comprehensive and quality care to older adults.
He stressed that in this new phase, it is appropriate to convene the private sector that is willing to contribute and assist voluntarily in the care, care and protection of the grandparents of Venezuela, to reinforce the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to work together with businessmen for the well-being of the entire nation.
