The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday the consolidation of democracy in the country, with Popular Power at the forefront of the construction of the Homeland and in the face of imperial threats.

“The national power of 21st century Venezuela is based on the immense power of its people, its conscience, its institutions, its rifles and its decision to build this Homeland over any difficulty,” said the Head of State during his participation in the march for the swearing in of the Commands of Integral Bolivarian Communities (CCBI).

He ratified that the Venezuelan people want peace, “but peace with sovereignty, peace with equality, peace with freedom. We don't want the peace of the slaves, nor do we want the peace of the colonies. Never colony, never slaves. Freedom, Republic, peace with dignity. That's the peace we're going to witness, that 's the peace we're going to conquer,” he emphasized.
