Head of State: The Venezuelan people have decided to be free and sovereign, neither slaves nor colonies!

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday, October 16, warned that the extremist opposition sector and the North American empire intend to make people believe that the Venezuelan people want to become a colony, “and that the gringos come to dominate the country to place a puppet as a supposed president.”

In this regard, he emphasized that “neither slaves nor colony. This People has decided to be free and sovereign.”

At the closing ceremony of the National Congress of Chefs and Chefs of the Homeland, from the Bicentennial Hall of the Miraflores Complex, in Caracas, as part of the celebration for World Food Day, he argued that the constant threat of imperialism and other centers of power against Venezuela is due to its immense natural resources.

“If Venezuela doesn't have so many natural resources, empires won't even bother to attack the country, since all they want is to appropriate them illegally, to meet their needs and colonize the population before their governments,” he said.

The head of state reaffirmed that “those demonic powers, who intend to put their claws on Venezuela to steal Venezuelan oil (...) The objective is only one, to colonize us and steal all our wealth and continue to enrich the Gringo Empire.”
