Head of State: There are NGOs that present themselves as Chavistas and are funded by US agencies

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Tuesday, August 12, assured that several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that present themselves as left-wing and Chavistas, are being funded by agencies of the United States government, such as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Department of State.

He stated that these groups “ask to create a false committee of mothers for the freedom of political prisoners and when you see the list they are all those who killed people in the country, those who injured innocent people, those who burned hospitals and schools.”

“They are not political prisoners, they are terrorists. Our people must have their eyes and ears wide open to know how to identify fakers, those who disguise themselves as the left, but receive money from gringos,” he warned.

This was stated from the Macuto parish, in the parking lot of the G/J Jorge Luis García Carneiro Baseball Stadium, in the state of La Guaira, where he led the act of strengthening the Quadrants for Peace Plan for the Community Circuits.

In this context, the head of state congratulated the Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, for his excellent and clear speech this Tuesday, August 12, during the regular session of the National Assembly (AN), where he presented and explained investigations into extremist and terrorist threats against peace and stability in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

“A complete report of the investigation that made it possible to neutralize and defeat the terrorist attack that María Machado ordered and financed the operation,” he stressed.
