Head of State: Venezuela has guaranteed treatments for all its hemophilic patients

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during his program “With Maduro +”, asked hemophilic patients to be the controllers of the agreements to receive the necessary treatments for their health, and he also guaranteed that after the consequences of the blockade on the import of medicines and medical equipment, the necessary triangulations have already been made to guarantee these supplies for the next two years.

In this regard, the Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, stressed that patients suffering from hemophilia have been able to treat patients suffering from hemophilia on an uninterrupted basis since 2022, although the national president assured that “Venezuela has to reach the point of producing medicines for the treatment of all diseases autonomously.”

He regretted that the sanctions prevented access to the purchase of medicines for a long time despite efforts to obtain them in the initial moments of the blockade on imports.
