Head of State: With national union we will win peace, sovereignty and defend the people's right to life

“With permanent national union, the order is given; to win peace, to exercise permanent sovereignty in our territory and seas, and to defend the right to life of the humble people, of the ordinary people, of our boys, our girls, of our youth, to defend the right to life that this land has heroically earned.”
This was stated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the closing ceremony of the Long March in defense of peace and the sovereignty of the Homeland, and for the Day of Indigenous Resistance, from Plaza Venezuela in the city of Caracas.
The head of state pointed out that, as during the invasion of the Spanish Empire, “once again we are seeing the confrontation between two worlds; their world, the imperialists, with their ambitions, with their racism, with their supremacy. The synonyms of imperialism are racism, plunder, colonialism, failed, decadent, defeated hegemonism, and here with our millennial victorious resistance advancing in cultural diversity, in the deep mixture of our roots it is synonymous with resistance is freedom”.
