Head of ZODI Monagas: The Venezuelan does not kneel before anyone not even in the time of Bolivar, much less in this era

The head of the Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) of the state of Monagas, G/D Romerl Romero Domínguez, highlighted the combative spirit demonstrated by the people of Monagua in the call made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro for the defense of the Homeland against the threats of imperialism.

“Today at 00 o'clock we received a call from our Commander in Chief, Nicolás Maduro Moros, for the activation of Plan Independence 200, in the Plan Acero phase against the air campaign and systematic wear and tear in our new Bolivarian Military Doctrine. I immediately contacted the governor (Ernesto Luna) who appeared in record time at Fort Paramaconi and from there we were channeling what is the deployment for the deconcentration of the Armed Forces; we contacted the citizen security agencies, they acted immediately and obviously the activation of our Town of Monagas. We have here my more than 3,050 citizens who in a time of 5 hours mobilized here in the municipality of Maturín, and we have more than 492 vehicles in this municipality responding to that call,” he explained.

The military leader pointed out that this exercise is a demonstration of the mobilization capacity of the People who are willing to defend the sovereignty of the Homeland emulating the glories of the Liberators.

“The Venezuelan does not kneel to anyone either in the time of Bolivar or in the time of our Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, much less in this era. It was the historic moment that we had to live in and I assure you that we are ready soon and prepared (...) We, the people of our Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez and our Commander in Chief, Nicolás Maduro Moros, will be willing to defend our Homeland,” he said.
