Health professionals march to demand the release of President Maduro and the first lady

Medical professionals mobilized this Thursday at the Great Health March in Caracas, to demand the return of the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady, Cilia Flores.

“President Maduro has done a lot for the health sector and we learned from Commander Hugo Chávez that love with love is paid, so we are here demanding that he be released,” said one of the doctors present.

He also said that in the march there are different professionals including doctors, nurses, and hospital directors, medical students who express to the world: “Free Maduro.”

Another of the doctors attending the march reiterated their strong support for President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, and assured that they will continue on the street carrying their voices until they are released.

“President Maduro always fought against sanctions, the blockade, to try to improve the national health system despite difficulties,” he emphasized.

He also recalled that more than 56,000 doctors were trained during the Bolivarian Revolution, before health education was very limited, “those who had money to pay to enter university studied.”

For her part, a sick young woman said she was outraged by the abuses being committed by the United States and no one said anything. “It's time for international organizations to do something.”

“The bombing of Venezuela by the United States was a criminal act,” he added.
