Héctor Rodríguez: Academic activities start on September 15 across the country

The Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, announced that the return to academic activities will take place starting September 15. The teaching and administrative staff will join on September 8 to begin academic activities, while the students will return to the campuses on September 15.

The also Sectorial Vice President of Social and Territorial Socialism highlighted the importance of taking advantage of the month of August for the maintenance and repair of schools, in order to preserve an optimal environment for learning.

“We are making a great effort to have a better school calendar so that all boys and girls can have enough time to receive all the content,” he said, in addition to calling on parents to be attentive to their children's academic progress.

In addition to the start of the school year, Rodríguez announced the start of the Venezuelan Community Games for August 20, 2025, which will take place in phases, with events in communities, Community Circuits, municipalities and states, and then close with the national phase in the month of December.

“We have closed the Student Games and already on August 20 the Venezuelan Community Games start,” Rodríguez explained, stressing that sports development does not stop. Finally, the minister urged sports directors to prepare for this new challenge.
