Starting this Wednesday, the administrative and academic staff of the parish Centers for the Development of Educational Quality (CDCE) must join teaching, announced the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez.
“I made a decision because the boy comes first, the girl, not the bureaucracy. I prefer to be left with a smaller, more efficient bureaucracy with more substantive staff attending to the child at school and in high school. Starting today, all administrative and academic staff go to schools, to the classroom, to teach,” he instructed during an activity with school and high school directors in Maturín, Monagas state.
Likewise, according to a press release from the Education portfolio, Rodríguez indicated that the Ministry of Education must start from the classroom and from the school management, “because the ministry raises things that are inapplicable in school.” “Don't bring to the table things that are reflected in the bureaucracy and not in the school dynamic,” he requested.
Rodríguez recalled that with the restructuring of the educational office that is under way, in about six months there must be “a smaller, more efficient, less bureaucratic ministry that relates to principals and teachers in a more effective way.”
