Last Monday, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement, Hezbollah, denounced Israel's attacks on Syria, following the fall of the Government of Bashar al-Assad, and warned that the regime is carrying them out simultaneously with repeated military aggressions against Lebanon and Gaza.
According to the Lebanese movement, the Zionist regime's ongoing efforts to seize new Syrian land are nothing more than the continuation of the occupation that Israel began in 1967, in the Golan region.
Hezbollah assured that the continuation of these attacks will have dangerous consequences and called on the international community, especially Arab and Islamic countries, to take firm positions against these crimes.
Hispantv reported that Israeli forces advanced on Sunday towards the buffer zone in the Quneitra area, on the Syrian side of the occupied Golan Heights.
Israel occupied this Syrian territory during the Six-Day War in 1967 and the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Since then, nearly 1200 km² of this area has been under Israeli military occupation, some 235 km² are controlled by the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) and the rest is administered by the Syrian side.
