Hinterlaces: 96% of Venezuelans are proud of their national identity

The latest Monitor-Country report by the Hinterlaces polling company, which covers the months of June and July, highlights that 96% of citizens say they are proud to be Venezuelan.

In her account on the social network Instagram, the pollster states that 95% consider that being a believer is what gives them a moral and existential basis to face difficulties and challenges.

In the report, respondents are described as: 88%: worker; 79%: entrepreneur; 80%: Optimistic; 85%: Hopeful and 82%: Familiar.

The study also indicates that, despite the adverse context, Venezuelans maintain a solid and deep social and cultural self-esteem, which has prevented attempts at neurotization from fracturing social cohesion.

In that sense, he emphasizes that “Venezuelan resilience is not just a response to adversity: it's part of our culture.”

He also stresses that Venezuelans are “religious but not clerical”, with a spirituality lived mainly in the personal and family. In terms of trust, Venezuelans place their strength in their identity, faith, effort and family.

He affirms that pride is cultural, not political; faith is personal and effort is expressed in the individual, family and community, although accompanied by a demand for attention and closeness from the State and its institutions.

“The mind and heart of the country have been shaken once again. The cultural and emotional battle is intensifying,” he says.
