“The radical, extremist opposition is at its worst, only between 4% and 5% have support, Leopoldo López, María Machado, Juan Guaidó, they have more than 90% disapproval or negative ratings,” said Óscar Schémel, president of the polling company Hinterlaces,
“That tells us that they are absolutely disconnected from the country,” he said, stating, in contrast, that the latest polls give President Nicolás Maduro Moros a positive acceptance of 65% and 66%, to consolidate unprecedented popular and national support.
“Today, most Venezuelans prefer President Maduro in power because he guarantees peace and tranquility. He prefers that Maduro resolve before an opposition government comes,” said Schémel, interviewed on a program on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He commented that these figures reveal an appreciation of the consolidated and strong presidential leadership of a management - even with difficulties and deficiencies - that is valued positively. “In addition, the country has united around the defense of sovereignty, peace and stability,” he observed about the results recorded.
80% see promise in the year 2026
Schémel reported that three out of four Venezuelans think that 2025 has been a much more fruitful year than the previous one, and, by 2026, more than 80% hope that it will be a much better year. In addition, in Venezuela there is an emotionally balanced and calm environment and the capacity to work for the country's development has increased.
He highlighted the creative power of the Venezuelan people to create favorable scenarios that lead to the happiness of all citizens and the survey reaffirms that the Venezuelan family wants tranquility, work and a future of peace for the nation, as well as the cessation of all foreign imperial threats and attacks.
The technical data sheet for the study, carried out this same month, November, covered 1,200 interviews across the country, in all social sectors, 83% at levels D and E, and 17% in those identified as A, B, C.
