In Gaceta! President in Charge appoints new president of Venezolana de Televisión

The president in charge of the Republic,
Delcy Rodríguez, appointed journalist Hernán Canorea as the new president of
Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), according to Decree No. 5,216 published in the Official Gazette No. 6,969.
The measure took effect last Friday, January 16, the
day it was made public in the official body.
Canorea, a Venezuelan communicator with
experience in state media, assumes the presidency of VTV, which is part of the public media system attached to
the Ministry of Popular Power for Communication and Information.
In addition, in the Official Gazette No. 43,294,
through Decree No. 5,210, the appointment of Anabel Pereira
Fernández as president in charge of the Patria Foundation and president of the respective Board of Directors was reported.
The entity is attached to the Vice Presidency of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its structure is defined in its founding act.
Pereira Fernández is a
Venezuelan lawyer and economist with extensive experience in public administration. He has held
various positions in State institutions, including responsibilities in financial and regulatory
sectors.
