In La Guaira tourists enjoy Holy Week on 64 suitable beaches

With more than 64 suitable beaches and diverse recreational activities, the state of La Guaira is established as an ideal destination for the enjoyment of Major Week, where the authorities have deployed safety and prevention operations to ensure a safe and organized experience for visitors.

The governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, stressed that the security and prevention operation implemented responds to the guidelines of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. “This plan includes sports and cultural festivals on beaches, rivers and other parts of the national territory, with the participation of more than five thousand Community Circuits,” he stressed.

In the specific case of La Guair, a reported that 11 beaches have recreational activities organized within the National Recreation Plan, including sports, cultural and dynamic events for the whole family, to ensure adequate use of public spaces during the season.

The hotel sector has also shown a notable increase in occupancy. According to figures shared by the governor, last Holy Wednesday there was 75% occupancy, a figure that has risen to 90% in recent days, reflecting the success of tourism and recreational initiatives in the region during this seasonal date.

In addition, Terán reported that, as part of the central activities, on Sunday the 20th, the traditional blessing of the sea will take place on Paseo La Marina in Catia La Mar, at four in the afternoon. “This event, which brings together families and visitors, has established itself as one of the most emblematic ceremonies of Major Week in La Guaira,” he said.
