This Wednesday, Venezuela formally begins the rainy season of the year. This was reported by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH), which explained that the precipitation cycle will begin progressively from the south of the national territory, driven by the natural movement of the atmospheric systems that govern the climate in our tropical region.

A report - presented by the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Justice and Peace - indicates that the first entities to register this activity will be the sectors of the center and south of the state of Amazonas, the extreme south of the state of Bolivar and the southern part of Guiana Esequiba.

In the same way, it is expected that the rains will begin to appear in the extreme south-west of the Apure and Barinas states, however, it is important to note that the intensity of the water will not be the same in all regions of the country during these first few days.

This seasonal change is mainly due to the influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, in addition to this natural cycle, the current climate is conditioned by the phenomenon known as El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENOS) and, at this moment, we are in the final phase of La Niña.
