INAMEH forecasts rains in the country due to the entry of tropical wave number 45

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) warned that by this Tuesday, September 1, the entry of tropical wave number 45 will generate an increase in cloud cover and rainfall of varying intensity with electric shocks in different areas of the national territory.

According to the forecast replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), moderate cloud cover is expected during the morning over a significant part of the country, with rain or showers scattered in the central plains, central-north and insular regions, Sucre, Bolivar, western plains and Zulia, without ruling out lower intensity rainfall in the center-west, the Amazon and the Andes.

For the afternoon and evening, the agency expects a generalized increase in cloud cover over the national territory, associated with moderate rainfall and stormy activity, with greater intensity and frequency in Bolivar, Amazonas, the Northeast, the central-north region, the western plains, the central west and the Andes.

In the rest of the country, partly cloudy to fragmented skies will prevail. The tropical system moves over the Atlantic and is estimated to enter Essequiba Guiana between this Tuesday and Wednesday, September 2. Inameh noted that the intertropical convergence zone is “quite active” and is reinforced by local convective effects and daytime warming.
