Indigenous peoples of the Amazon received a day of comprehensive medical care

Through Comprehensive Health Care Days, the original populations of Culebra de Belén, Acanaña and Lao Lao, located in the Huachamacare parish in the Alto Orinoco municipality of the state of Amazonas, reported Venezolana de Televisión, citing the entity's State Department of Health (DES).

During the day, a total of 1,332 medical and preventive services were registered with essential services such as general medicine, deworming, rapid diagnostic tests (PDR) for malaria, family planning, immunization (BCG, PENTA, Toxoid and Yellow Fever) and drug delivery.

These actions carried out by the DES of Amazonas, through its Directorate of Indigenous, Intercultural and Complementary Therapies, reflect the firm commitment to guarantee the right to health of indigenous peoples, having a significant impact, the care offered was characterized by its diversity and breadth.
