Inter-institutional cooperation agreement signed to strengthen Venezuelan mining

In order to raise the quality, standardization and certification of goods and services in the mining sector, the Ministry of People's Power for National Trade and the Ministry of People's Power for Ecological Mining Development signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement.
The announcement was made by the head of Commerce, Luis Villegas, on his account on the social network Instagram, in which he explained that this agreement establishes five fundamental objectives to optimize the national productive apparatus and improve the international projection of Venezuelan mining.
In this regard, he specified that among his main goals are the improvement of the quality of mining products, the promotion of the sustainability of the sector, the updating of Venezuelan Standards (COVENIN) and the implementation of technical regulations.
In addition, he added that certification with the Norven Seal is contemplated for products and services, which will guarantee high standards of excellence.
Villegas stressed that this agreement reflects the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to responsible and sustainable mining to strengthen this sector by promoting practices that contribute to the country's productive development and its recognition in the international arena.
With the signing of this agreement, the authorities are reinforcing their commitment to a mining model that balances economic growth with respect for the environment, for the benefit of the nation and the people.
