International Anti-Fascist chapter Uganda stands in solidarity with Venezuela in the face of US threats

The International Anti-Fascist chapter of Uganda expressed this Sunday its firm solidarity with the People of Venezuela during this period of unjustified aggression and military escalation on the part of the United States (US) Administration.

In a statement, the group from the African country describes as an alarming and unacceptable provocation against a sovereign nation the recent unilateral declaration of President Donald Trump to intend to close Venezuelan airspace, together with other aggressive positions by the United States.

Solidarity with Venezuela in the face of threats of war and the exploitation of resources

Kampala, Uganda | November 30, 2025

Anti-Fascist International, Uganda Chapter, stands firmly in solidarity with the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela during this period of increasing tension and unjustified military escalation. President Donald Trump's recent unilateral statement, which seeks to close Venezuelan airspace, together with other aggressive positions by the United States, represents an alarming and unacceptable provocation against a sovereign nation.

Such actions raise legitimate concerns about motivations that go far beyond any stated justification. Public statements coming from the United States itself, including Congress, that openly recognize economic interests as a driving force behind these escalation measures deepen global apprehension. The idea of seeking access to another country's natural resources through pressure, intimidation or force is archaic. It is morally indefensible and incompatible with the values expected of any nation that deserves to be guided by democratic and civilized principles.

In today's era of global communication and transparency, attempts to hide geopolitical or economic ambitions behind made-up narratives cannot go unnoticed. We no longer live in the dark age of information. Deception tactics aimed at creating pretexts for conflict are quickly exposed, widely condemned and roundly rejected by peoples and nations committed to peace and justice. The world is watching, and the truth is visible to all.

We urge President Trump to immediately stop any action that could trigger another senseless war, one that would bring unnecessary loss of life, destruction of property and further destabilization in a region already burdened by decades of outside interference.

Peace, sovereignty and respect for international law must prevail over coercion and the reckless pursuit of strategic or economic advantages .

The Anti-Fascist International, Uganda Chapter, reiterates its strong support for the Venezuelan people and for all nations that defend their right to self-determination, dignity and territorial integrity. Any attempt to undermine these principles threatens not only Venezuela, but also the foundations of global stability and cooperation .
