1,400 international observers were deployed in the country's electoral centers to record the normal course of this Sunday's elections, when a total of 569 positions were elected from among deputies, governors and members of Legislative Councils.
From La Candelaria in Caracas, the magistrate of the Supreme Electoral Council of Nicaragua, Brenda Rocha, affirmed that the process is peaceful. “We have seen a calm, very agile process (...) in less than 50 seconds the voter is already out.”
For his part, the president of the Electoral Commission of Burkina Faso, Elysé Ouedraogo, said that “we have seen a very good organization on the part of the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the electoral centers”.
Likewise, the vice-president of the National Electoral Council, Carlos Quintero, informed the country that “there are 100% of the tables open throughout the national territory. In other words, the technological infrastructure, the more than 15,000 voting centers and more than 27,000 polling stations are at the service of voting.”
