The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), through the Fixed and Mobile Advertising Control Area of the General Engineering Management, carried out an operation to inspect and remove advertising structures on the Pan-American Highway, specifically on the stretch between kilometer 14 and the Los Cerritos distributor.
During the tour, a large number of billboards were detected located on elevated pedestrian crossings, distributors and road dividers, contrary to the provisions of article 91 of the Land Transportation Act, published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 38,985, dated August 1, 2008. This article expressly prohibits the installation of advertising media at road intersections, traffic distributors, bridges, viaducts, tunnels, pedestrian crossings and separators of avenues, highways and highways, according to the INTT press.
In addition to violating current legal regulations, these structures were placed without the corresponding permission issued by the INTT, which motivated their immediate removal as a measure to preserve road safety and urban order.
As a result of the operation, 15 advertising structures that contravened the law were dismantled. The day was held in coordination with authorities from the Carrizal municipality, in the Altos Mirandinos, as part of a joint effort to ensure safe traffic conditions and enforce the current legal framework.
The INTT reaffirms its commitment to promoting orderly, safe and regulatory friendly road environments
