Iran condemns expansion of Israeli occupation in Syria

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Jihad condemned the Israeli Army's incursions into Damascus and its deployment in the Golan buffer zone in Syria, in a statement.

Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian condemned Israel's takeover of a Syrian outpost on Mount Hermon, following the withdrawal of the Army from the Syrian Arab nation, Telesur said.

“The president called on all domestic actors in that country, as well as countries in the region, to remain vigilant against the abuse of the Israeli regime in order to advance its expansionist and illegal selfish objectives with respect to the peoples of the region,” the statement said.

In this regard, the nation's foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, warned that Syria could face civil war and disintegration of territory after the takeover of power by terrorists.
