The Islamic Republic of Iran, through the Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmail Baqai, condemned Israel's new firebombing attack on the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, in the center of Gaza, which destroyed the tent camp where Palestinians remain displaced.
The attack is “an example of war crimes and is part of the genocide” against the Palestinian people, Baqai denounced.
The bombing took place early last Monday and affected the hospital complex in Deir al-Balah, leaving at least four fatalities and more than 40 injured.
The Iranian spokesman also emphasized that attacking civilian sites, including hospitals and health facilities, constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
Baqai assured that “they are, on their own, sufficient to criminally prosecute and prosecute the leaders of the regime for committing war crimes.”
