Iran reiterated its unconditional support for Venezuela in the face of military threats from the United States

‎El President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a telephone meeting with his counterpart from Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

‎A through an official statement, published by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, it became known that Iran reiterated its unconditional support for the Bolivarian nation.

‎A continuation full text of the statement:

‎En First of all, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian directly conveyed his congratulations to President Maduro for his recent birthday, celebrated on November 23. He then confirmed the support of the Iranian government and people at this stage, in the face of what he described as threats to peace in Latin America and the Caribbean. He noted that all these hostile provocations violate the principles of international law and constitute a dangerous precedent for the peoples of the world. Iran reiterated its willingness to stand by Venezuela's side, expressing full solidarity and unconditional support.

‎Asimismo, President Pezeshkian conveyed to the Venezuelan government and people his best wishes for congratulations on the arrival of the new year 2026, stressing his conviction that it will be a favorable year to continue working on the successful development of cooperation and strategic alliance between both countries, always based on the development and peace of both nations. He added that he admires the coherence, strength and commitment with which Venezuela is currently developing, guaranteeing peace, and expressed his full confidence that Venezuela will emerge victorious in the face of any challenge.

‎Por for his part, President Nicolás Maduro thanked the phone call, transmitted a message of solidarity and affection to the Iranian people, and reaffirmed that cooperation between the two nations is today at its best. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue working in all the areas of competence already agreed by both presidents, in the different bilateral scenarios. In particular, he highlighted the validity of the 20-year strategic cooperation agreement signed with Iran, as the central axis of joint efforts.
