Officials from the Iranian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology confirmed the launch of 3 remote sensing satellites that strengthen the country's scientific infrastructure and project a message of innovation about Iran's technological future.
The Telesur portal reviewed the Iranian ambassador in Moscow, Kazem Yalali, and emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation with Russia, stressing that this is the seventh time that Iranian satellites have been launched into orbit by Russian launch vehicles.
It became known that Iran launched this Sunday, December 28, three domestically manufactured satellites: Tolou-3, Zafar-2 and Kosar-1.5, from the Vostochny cosmodrome, in Russia, at 16:48 local time.
The mission was carried out using a Soyuz carrier rocket with the objective of positioning the devices in a synchronous solar orbit, established specifically for terrestrial observation tasks.
Thanks to its ability to capture images with a resolution of five meters in black and white and ten meters in color, this equipment will be essential for agricultural monitoring, water resources management and the prevention of natural disasters such as floods and droughts.
