The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masud Pezeshkia n, during the commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, urged the United Nations (UN) to stop the brutal murder of Palestinians at the hands of Israel, Hispantv said.

“November 29, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, is the day of global solidarity with the courage and stability of freedom and justice of the people who, for more than seven decades, have faced empty-handed the most evil forces that history has ever seen,” said the Iranian president.

He also stressed that Zionist usurping forces take the lives of children, kill defenceless people, destroy houses and assassinate the noblest heroes, and blatantly consider these crimes as their pride, while the worried and incredulous gaze of the people of the world does not embarrass them one bit.

Pezeshkian stressed that the action of the United Nations (UN) to declare the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is a valuable but insufficient fact.

He recalled that last year, on this day, the number of Palestinians killed was 14,000, but now it has risen to 53,000 dead and missing and to more than 100,000 injured, more than 70% of whom are women, children and the elderly.
