Faced with repeated threats from Israeli authorities, the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, strongly condemned these actions against Francesca Albanese, the Organization's special rapporteur in Palestine.

These intimidations, also directed at her family and collaborators, are added to a growing campaign of harassment against the expert, one of the most critical voices against Israel's genocidal actions in Gaza, Fuser News reports.

“The threats against Albanese are unacceptable,” Türk said through his account on the social network X.

Last March, the rapporteur denounced the smear campaign against her on social networks for her report “Anatomy of Genocide”, where she presents convincing evidence of the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.

“Yes, I receive threats, but they won't stop me,” the rapporteur said at the time. Despite the intimidation, Albanese continues to denounce the blockade of the enclave, the massacres of civilians and other violations of international humanitarian law perpetrated by Benjamin Netanyahu.
