This Sunday, at least 17 people, mostly civilians, lost their lives during an Israeli air strike carried out near the Syrian capital, Damascus, as detailed by Hispantv on its website.
For the bombing, an Israeli army drone was used to target an arms depot belonging to the Syrian Army, near the industrial city of Adra, northeast of the capital, cited the media of the opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in the United Kingdom.
It was also announced that the attack caused a large fire in the area, and caused material damage to the industrial city of Adra.
Israel has continued its indiscriminate attack on military targets in Syrian territory since the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Asad (2000-2024) on December 8.
Israeli planes carried out a large scale air operation and reported the destruction of between 70 and 80 percent of the military capacity of the Syrian Armed Forces.
The Israeli army claimed to have almost completely eliminated the air defense system and the Navy, and destroyed dozens of military installations, including weapons factories, air bases, underground complexes and strategic missile reserves.
