IVSS announces receipt of batch of vaccines against yellow fever

More than 1.2 million doses will be distributed across the country

The Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS) reported the arrival of 1 million 200 thousand vaccines against yellow fever. These are actions aimed at strengthening the National Public Health System.

Information from the health institute details that the program guarantees the prevention of diseases and the protection of the Venezuelan people, thanks to international agreements advanced by the Bolivarian Government.

Yellow fever is an epidemiogenic disease, transmitted by infected mosquitoes and preventable by vaccination. Its incubation period is three to six days. Its symptoms include fever, muscle pain, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting. In most cases, symptoms go away in three or four days.
