Colombian Javier Jamaica from Team Medellín was crowned champion of stage five of the 61st Vuelta a Venezuela.

Jamaica took the victory after reaching the ruins of Castillo de San Vicente in Nirgua, Yaracuy state with a time of 3 hours 20 minutes 45 seconds.

For his part, the Venezuelan Roniel Campos, representative of the La Guacamaya de Trujillo Team, ranked second by two seconds. While Walter Vargas came in third place, Prensa MinDeporte reviews.

Vargas, who accumulates an overall race time of 14 hours 08 seconds, with three stages to go, continues to lead the general standings; Jamaica is second at 24 seconds and the Venezuelan Luis Mora remains in third place one minute 52 seconds apart.

This Friday, October 11, the sixth stage of the Vuelta a Venezuela will take place with a circuit of 20 ring roads in the city of San Felipe, Yaracuy state; and it will have a distance of 140 kilo meters.
