This Monday, November 4th, the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, announced that he will take advantage of the Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Forum, “and we are going to create in ALBA a Network against Fascism”.
“Because everything that is ALBA is anti-imperialist, it's anti-fascist, ALBA is for freedom, for independence, for sovereignty, for solidarity and it was created today.”
From the La Carlota Convention Center, in Caracas, where more than 70 delegations from around the world installed the first World Parliamentary Forum against Fascism and which will run until November 5th, Arreaza thanked the National Assembly (AN) for this initiative, which will allow ALBA to hold face-to-face or virtual meetings in member countries' parliaments to fight against the fascism that seeks to impose itself on the world.
“Today it is necessary to build an anti-fascist world, it's indispensable, it's not necessary, it's indispensable, otherwise humanity will no longer be there,” he emphasized.
In this regard, he warned that “a world today that stops fascism and Zionism in the Middle East, in defense of humanity, no longer only of the Palestinian People and the Lebanese People, who are at the heart of the matter, but it is already in defense of humanity, because if they do it to Palestine today, they are already doing it to Lebanon, then they will come for whoever they decide to impose themselves, to hegemonize with blood, with crime, with pain, the system they are doing”.
He stressed that the Bolivarian Alliance block has in its strategic agenda 20-30, stating the need to create the Parliamentary Network and the Anti-Fascist Congress, it is a favorable scenario that could give light to this initiative.
“ALBA is, in essence, the great alternative force; ALBA has a council of social movements, which is being reorganized today, and which we hope that, at the summit of December 14, it will exchange with our prime ministers and presidents, and governments and social movements can be heard, and vice versa, and there must be parliamentarians present as a link that balances that relationship,” he explained.
