Jorge Arreaza: All projects were discussed at national meetings

The vice-president of Communes and Social Movements of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Arreaza, stressed that millions of Venezuelans, in their communities, discussed the different projects for their communities in a positive way, and then presented them to the respective communes, to define those that were included in this National Popular Consultation 2024.

In a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión, he said that “today the People's vote will choose six of seven projects for President Maduro, together with the grassroots Popular Power, to approve resources directly to the Community Councils, to the Commune, to the people and to execute the projects efficiently.”

He stressed that this second National Popular Consultation 2024 is a process of organization and collective construction from the ground up.

Arreaza highlighted that young people over 15 years of age have the opportunity to participate in this election party.

“The call is to all Venezuelans over 15 years of age, imagine if I were a 16-year-old I would be happy to be able to vote before the age of majority, only in Venezuela can that happen, so let's go, let's participate as more participation the system is going to consolidate,” he said.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this popular consultation has around 100 international observers who visit various regions of the country, “where they observe that the country is at peace, is in another electoral process and that violence could not be imposed. They're going to take notes and lessons from what the Venezuelan people are doing.”
