The vice-president of the Communal Councils and Communes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Arreaza, reaffirmed that with Commander Hugo Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro the People arrived in Miraflores and will never leave there.
“The people entered the Miraflores Palace on February 2, 1999 and they haven't left there and won't come out,” said Arreaza during the meeting with justices of the peace of the Sarría Rebelde Commune, in the Candelaria parish, in Caracas, and with the international representatives who will be participating this week in the World Anti-Fascist Festival.
He also emphasized that President Maduro has been able to weather the biggest storms and the fiercest pressures since taking over the leadership of Venezuela.
“We have to recognize the President that he has never strayed from the strategic project and from Hugo Chávez,” he added.
In addition, he emphasized that “on January 10 (with the swearing in of re-elected President Nicolás Maduro) you are going to witness something that can be considered a miracle, which is a people that, after the fiercest aggression and economic measures, has been able to remain in political power.”
For his part, the delegate of El Salvador, Carlos Castaneda, said that the international representatives present in Venezuela attest to the democratic process of the Bolivarian Revolution.
Likewise, representatives Miqueas Torres and Salomón Alfaro (El Salvador), accompanied by delegates from Guatemala and Costa Rica, asserted that community organization and union are essential to win the peoples' struggle.
