The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, highlighted this Monday how Venezuela has confronted and has put a stop to fascism, which with its violent and destabilizing actions seeks to disturb the country's peace.

Venezuela has been the victim of more than 960 sanctions, disrupting our right to live in peace, we have experienced atrocious forms of pressure and repression (...) Every way has been tried, including military incursions, sabotage, attempts to attack the electrical system, but we have defeated all attempts at violent actions against the Bolivarian Revolution and the people of Venezuela,” he said during the installation of the World Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Forum in La Carlota.

For this reason, he stressed that from the AN of Venezuela, “humbly”, it makes the proposal for the creation of the permanent World Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Forum.

“A permanent forum for the world's parliamentarians to meet to confront fascism as a social disease. We put ourselves in order, we put in the resources we can offer,” he said.
