Jorge Rodríguez points out that the murder of survivors in a ship attack in the Caribbean Sea violates the Geneva Convention

The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that through articles published in the newspaper The Washington Post, it became known that the Secretary of War of the United States of America gave the order to “kill them all” in relation to the attack that occurred last September 2 in Caribbean waters against a fishing boat. He specified that this action violates Geneva Conventions and International Humanitarian Law.


The president of the Venezuelan parliament noted that “according to eyewitnesses, there were two people who survived, that is, two injured and, according to the Washington Post article. The order given was to kill them all, that is, two injured survivors. In one of the wreckage of the boats they were summarily killed, then an article abounds or completes Friday's article.”


Jorge Rodríguez stated that “in all circumstances - the injured - must be treated as assisted as humanity and prohibits any attempt against their lives and their person.”
