The head of the VEN25+ Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, regretted this Sunday the accident that occurred in Apure state while security personnel were transporting electoral material for regional and legislative elections.

“Unfortunately, what happened in the state of Apure is a tremendous, profound and very painful demonstration of how committed our Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) are so that Venezuelans can vote even in the most remote place,” he said at a press conference.

In this regard, Simón Bolívar, also candidate for the National Assembly for the Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB), explained that “there was a shipwreck and unfortunately that shipwreck generated this terrible accident, in which two guards and a policeman were killed carrying the electoral material.”

He stressed that this is a way of telling “those who dislike the Venezuelan electoral system and would prefer violence or stealth action to do with power, because we owe it to those martyrs, to our Bolivarian National Armed Forces to deploy as it is deployed, the Plan República and to the officials, respect for the Venezuelan electoral system.”
